Confidentiality

Information shared during the course of therapy is considered confidential and will not be revealed, except under limited circumstances, to anyone outside of the sessions without your prior written consent. Exceptions to this may occur under the following circumstances:

     (1) you present a danger to yourself,

     (2) you pose a danger to someone else,

     (3) a person under the age of 18 is being or has been abused, or

     (4) I am court-ordered to do so.

In the case of couple or family therapy, I do not guarantee that information disclosed by one member will be kept from the other member(s) participating in the therapy sessions. I will use my own best judgment to determine if information will be shared between participating members.
